The Isaiah Thomas-Dennis Schroder feud is officially over — at least as far as Thomas is concerned.
The Celtics point guard responded to Schroder’s claim that Thomas cursed at his mother during the Celtics’ 103-101 victory over the Hawks on Friday night. Thomas yelled to the crowd that Schroder “ain’t nothing,” per Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, but Schroder felt Thomas’ trash talk crossed a line.
The Wizards as a team were peeved at the Celts’ style. Otto Porter Jr. straight-up called them “dirty.” Wiz coach Scott Brooks complained, too:
Smart and Wizards guard Bradley Beal clashed during the game, and Beal was hit with a technical foul. Last season, Beal suffered a broken nose and a concussion after being hit by a Smart forearm.
“We knew it was going to be a physical game. That’s all it was: Just a little trash-talking and a physical game,” Wall told reporters, per ESPN.com.
To ensure that’s all it was, Boston police were assigned to stand between the locker rooms at TD Garden to make sure nothing else happened, per ESPN.com.
Crowder, who jawed at former Wizards coach Randy Wittman last season, wasn’t about to review what happened.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I ain’t got no comment about that,” he said, per ESPN.com. “You want to talk about the game? Anyone want to talk about the game?”
Guys, leave the hand-throwing to Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was ringside, er, courtside Rg3 Cheap Jerseys for the game and got Isaiah Thomas’ game jersey as a gift.
“Nobody’s built [to fight] but the guy that was in the front row,'” Thomas Order Cheap Jerseys Online said, per ESPN.com. “So just keep it hoop and move onto the next one.”
